The things the media will do to start controversy......Platt is not being sued.....Platt did not plagarize.....etc.
While their story hasn't quite risen to the fame General Larry Plattreceived after his "American Idol" appearance two weeks ago, the GreenBrothers of Highland Park are getting some attention from the likes of TMZ and the Huffington Post.
The hip-hop/funk duo posted a YouTube video yesterday pointing out that Platt's "Pants on the Ground" hit was suspiciously similar to their own 1996 song "Back Pockets on the Floor."
But in a comment full of snark and sarcasm, MLive user misterhyde expressed what many Metro Detroiters were likely thinking -- who are these guys?
Jan. 26, misterhyde: Everyone in the tri-county Metro Detroit area remembers the summer of1996 as the summer of "Back Pockets On The Floor." You couldn't goanywhere without hearing it; the Hudson's fireworks were synchronizedwith this grade A prime slice of Detroit funk. The Electrifying Mojocame back to the radio just to spin this one. It was said that the onlytime television legend Bill Bonds cried was when he heard this song thefirst time.
Luckily, the Detroit Free Press managed to get some real dirt on them.
Accordingto pop culture writer B.J. Hammerstein, Gerald Green, 71, was a leadvocalist for the Contours for 20 years, before recording "Pockets" withhis brother Herman, 73, in 1996.
The song was recorded at Talent Live Studio in Canton and co-owner Rick Young says he has the master recordings.
Accordingto Young, the Brothers recorded the video for "Pockets" just a few daysago in order to post it online and get some recognition.
The Greens don't want to file a lawsuit, they told the Freep and Fox 2 News. They actually wish Platt the best of luck with his music.
They just want people to know -- they had the idea first." Source

Whatever, and if any of you believe this crock of bull ass story, you are dumber than a box of rocks.
Someone tried to pull this same mess last year on Tyler Perry and they lost as will this person if he has tried to sue.
And another thing that kills me about a writer is that they sell their works for money and then 10-20 years later they get amnesia.
This woman hasn't stole anybody's writings or books, if she is connected to this loser in any kind of way she bought his drafts, now he wants more because she made it soar, something he could have never done in his lifetime, now he wants to cry and whine like a little broke ass embocile.
And obamamustbestopd (some random person in a forum on comcast) Oprah didn't pick the president, American citizens which voted for him did. Why is it that everytime we are not happy with something or the answer we are given, we want to blame everyone else but the actual person. Oprah is not millions of people, so obviously she did not pick him, she did not influence or make anyone vote for him, she only supported him, there is a difference.
And how did we get to this point in America should be the only question, and the answer to that is to ask or research your previous Presidents, because it didn't just start with Obama, he inherited all of this mess. So instead of sitting around pointing the finger of blame at everyone, look at and withing yourselves and do something to help take back and change America to what it should be.
Some of you are just like this so-called man, claiming Oprah stole his poems, or whatever. You sit around waiting on someone else to do all of the hardwork, while you sit on the bandwagon, being pulled and helped along, all the while complaining and whining about any and everything inside of saying thank you for trying or helping me.

Harvard scholar Henry Louis Gates, Jr. was arrested for disorderly conduct while trying to force open the front door of his home near Harvard University Thursday, July 16, 2009.
Crowley says stated that he arrested Gates for yelling. Nothing else, no threatening movement, only yelling. On the front porch of his own home. Yelling is not a crime.
Yelling does not meet the definition of disorderly conduct in Massachusetts. Not one shouted word or action that Crowley has attributed to Gates, amounts to disorderly conduct. That is why the charges had to be dropped.
In the initial Police report there is a slight conflict with the final police report. In Crowley's initial narrative, he stated that he "stepped out to gather information from the reporting person Lucia Whalen" after he had already been inside the home with Gates. In his final report, he stated he was told by Whalen upon arriving what led up to her making the call to the police department. (slight difference is not even the norm of this report) He also stated that he asked Mr. Gates to step outside the resident and Gates refused; in his report he states he arrested Gates for disorderly conduct and causing a public scene.
Well why were you (Mr. Crowley)asking this man to step outside when you already knew there was a small crowd outside the house?
So why was Gates arrested? Here's Crowley's credible, but somewhat troubling, version of events:
"As I descended the stairs to the sidewalk, Gates continued to yell at me, accusing me of racial bias and continued to tell me that I had not heard the last of him. Due to the tumultuous manner Gates had exhibited in his residence as well as his continued tumultuous behavior outside the residence . . . I warned Gates that he was becoming disorderly." Meanwhile, onlookers "appeared surprised and alarmed by Gates' outburst."
Read the police report for yourselves and tell what you think.
I feel that Gates was falsey arrested, for the simple fact that, there is no law prohibiting a civilian from talking back to a oficer, however, both parties overreacted in this situation.
The president was right when he called the arrest stupid. That doesn't mean Crowley is stupid. It means that in that moment, he made a stupid choice in arresting Gates. And the President does not owe them an apology for what he said.

So Matt McConaughey did an interview with ELLE magazine recently.
ELLE: Any woman you can think of who might not be coverworthy, but whom you find attractive?
MM: Not so specifically, but yeah. And I see it more with black women, who get dressed up and they?re wearin? everything to fit snug, and they?re walking the walk. And you?re like, Man, look at you go! Where did you get that? She might be a larger package, but boy, she sure understands how she?s wrapped. Source
The Blogger of this post asked what do we (the public) think about this.
There are a lot of comments here stating that he was being racist and that black women shouldn't be on the cover of magazines, even though they look good. And on and on and on.
There other commenters that support what he says and state that he was not being racist and I agree with them.
So with that said, I have this to say:
Calm down folks, the interviewer really didn?t word that question right, but if you slow down and read it one word at a time you will see what they are asking him. Once you do that and truly understand the question, you want think that he is being negative or racist at all.
Question: ?Any woman you can think of who might not be coverworthy, but whom you find attractive??
Revised: Is there any woman that magazine editors might not find coverworthy, but you are attracted to them.
The question above that they asked him was to cover up their own bulls&%$ and the truth about these magazines out here Blackballin? plus sized women.
He answered? Not so specifically, but yeah. And I see it more with black women, who get dressed up and they?re wearin? everything to fit snug, and they?re walking the walk. And you?re like, Man, look at you go! Where did you get that?
She might be a larger package, but boy, she sure understands how she?s wrapped.?
Translation:
Not so specifically, but yeah = he knew the question was misleading
And I see it more with black women, who get dressed up and they?re wearin? everything to fit snug, and they?re walking the walk = I see this happening more to black women, who be looking damn good, clothes fitting nice, and that walk that makes you stand up
And you?re like, Man, look at you go! Where did you get that? = Damn, where you get that bod from
She might be a larger package, but boy, she sure understands how she?s wrapped = Although, the magazines don?t cover these type of women(thick), she has confidence, struts her stuff and knows she is the bomb without the cover of a magazine, and I like it
That is what I take from his comment
Some people read so deep into things but not deep enough, until they get confused.
Read a little deeper folks and clear your minds, get the stereotypes, and negative thoughts out of your mind before reading controversial posts from right winged and side eyed media coverage.
